Sermon Series May 5, 12, 19 2024

Imagine living a life desperately running after Jesus, willing to do whatever it takes to be in his presence. What would it look like to be ever desperate for Jesus, seeking his presence, forgiveness and grace? Over the next three weeks we will explore stories throughout the Old Testament that exemplify what it means to be desperate for Jesus.

Scripture: Mark 2:1-12

Sermon: Whatever it takes

The paralytic’s friends were desperate to get their friend before Jesus. They did whatever it took for him to be healed. How desperate are you for Jesus? Are you willing to do whatever it takes to be in his presence?

Fall is coming . . . . .

Dear Lord: We are very thankful for the peace that comes to us as we look to You for blessings. Thank You that our land is not broken by storms and other disasters. Bless and guide the men and women who serve in churches and who preach Your word.  Open hearts of those not yet believers.  Bless the men and women who serve in the medical field and help those dealing with the loss of loved ones.  Take care of the children, help them to deal with the blessings that are available and guide their parents. Support the law enforcement during these trying times. We are thankful for Your love and care when we are troubled.  Take our prayers and guide us to Your blessings.  In the name of Jesus.  Amen.
